About Me!

What can be said about Jackie Castle?
I honestly have no excuses, but I'll try to explain anyway.

I'm first and foremost a storyteller. However, I make money by substitute teaching and selling books at a local bookstore. This pays for my storytelling habit.

I reside in north Texas, but I spend the most time in my imagination. If you catch me staring off into space, I'm probably traipsing through the woods of Fae, or wandering the white path through Alburnium, or some other Wonderland that exist in my wild imagination.

My family has been very supportive of my storytelling habit. I've been married to my wonderful husband for almost 25 years and he works hard and has the most giving heart I've ever come across. We have two children who've reached the age where they are beginning to stretch out their wings and find their own journeys to undertake. My daughter helped me pick out the background for this blog, and listened to me brainstorm titles for this book. My son often comes into my writing office, looks at the charts and pictures hanging all over the walls with open-mouthed wonder, or something, then quietly walks back out. I know he's a little impressed and he likes my stories, especially if they're about his sister and not him. My dog Ginger is my constant writing companion, always keeping my toes warm while I'm at the computer.

I've published some works in magazines and other places. You can check out my writing portfolio over at my author's site - Jackie's Scribbles.

Oh, and did I mention I'm the Queen of The Castle Library? For real. I rule the Reading Land where books are loved and cherished and where the Wizard Lexiconi teaches young scribes how to write. Well, when he's not on tour with his All Toad Choir. When he's not available to teach, then our resident dragons, Dirkus and Rankus, are always thrilled to offer their expertise.

What? You don't believe me? Well, hop on over the The Castle Library and see for yourself.

What else can I say?

Only that I'm simply a traveler, like yourself, making my way through this world. I've found a path that leads to life, to fulfillment, to never ever having to walk alone or wonder where I'm going or if it's all pointless.

I know exactly where I'm going.

How about you, are you up for the journey?
